This great protest song by U2 is based on the PEACEFUL protest mars in Northern Ireland on Bloody Sunday 30 January 1972, where twenty-seven unarmed civil rights protesters were shot by British Army Paratroopers
during this Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association march.
14 innocent persons (fathers, teenagers) were shot to DEATH. What a shame, what a shame... Yes indeed: NO MORE! NO MORE!
